Atlantic Shipping Group – We Are Proud To Announce That We Have Recently Handled Major Mobilization Of The United Nations (UN) Project Cargo
We are uniquely situated and experienced to handle UN Project cargo within the remote countries throughout the Red sea region and East Africa.
Some of the recent missions we have undertaken as agents include United Nations African Mission in Darfur (UNAMID)repatriation movement and United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA)both in Sudan (two of the main missions of the UN).
The repatriation of the United Nations (UN) troops was an effective movement of around 10,000cbm of cargo out of UNAMID camps in Darfur, through a remote high-risk desert challenging route movement for over 3,000kms.

Recently, we have handled two vessels for UNAMID Bangladeshcontingent in favour of Bangladesh Mission, Chittagong (MV Beautriumph),and another for the Mongolian contingent has loaded to XINJIANG(MV Tian).
This April, our shipping agency, will complete two FOB loading of over 15,000cbm of cargo destined for Nigerian Permanent Missionto be discharged in Lagos and another to the Burkina Faso Permanent Mission,to be discharged in Tema Port, Ghana.
Other UN agencies we have previously worked with throughout the region of Red Sea and East Africa region include World Food Programme (WFP), United Nations High Commissioner (UNHCR)and United Nations Development Programme(UNDP).
The African region is currently hosting the highest UN activity the Horn of Africa, particularly of the UN and the NGO’s operations in the world being spearheaded by UNAMID – UNISFA, UNAMISS, United Nations Office for West Africa (UNOWA), WFP, UNHCR, United Nationa Iraq-Kuwait Observation Mission (UNIKOM).
